I'm a Christian, husband, and father of 4 kids (ranging from school age to young adults).
Less importantly, I've been a war veteran, worked in international missions, 3x grad student, attorney and multi-business owner.
Seven years ago, my wife and I wrote our first draft of a "100-year Strategy" for our family. It sounded a little crazy at first. Perhaps too ambitious.
But our goal was simply to apply rigor and planning to the important task of passing down our values to our children, grandchildren, and beyond.
Since that time, I've been geeking out on all things related to inter-generational thinking, creating daily legacy-building habits, and producing tools to help others build a legacy for their own families.
The 3GEN Project is the collective result of my experience so far. It's not perfect, but it's the most comprehensive approach I've ever seen.
There's more to learn and more to build.
I invite you to join us, and I look forward to meeting you.
Legacy is About Passing Down Our Values, Not Our Ego
Legacy is not about money or monuments. It's not even about being remembered.
It's much more than that.
Legacy is about passing down our faith, our values, and our wisdom.
It’s about helping our children — and our children’s children — by giving them a foundation to stand taller, see farther, and achieve more.
Legacy is a lineage of strong men and women who live strategically with the long-term in mind.
And by living with one eye toward the future, we become better people in the present.
Legacy-Building Matters at Every Age
Legacy is not for later — it’s for now.
Legacies are involuntary. Everyone leaves a legacy, good or bad.
The only question is: Are we building ours with intention or letting outside circumstances create it for us?
We choose to live with intention, at any age.
At age 20, legacy-focus gives us direction. It lifts ours eyes from the moment and forces us to think long-term, driving better decisions.
At age 40, legacy-focus keeps us grounded — reminding us that our success means nothing if it ends with us.
By age 80, legacy-focus is the footprint we leave behind on the world.
At every age, thinking about legacy makes us better men.
100-year Impact is Possible
We believe a man’s impact is measured in generations — not in years.
We can directly shape up to three generations (approximately 100 years). We control ourselves. We profoundly influence our children. And we can reach our grandchildren.
And it all starts with one decision. Starting now can shape a century.
Strategies & Systems Work
Everything valuable in life requires structure — discipline — a plan.
We make business plans. We track our finances. We plan our trips in detail.
Yet most men drift through family life without any legacy-planning blueprint at all.
We believe legacy deserves more intention than our next meeting. Our family, our faith, our friendships, and our influence — these all need a system to flourish.
Because anything left to chance decays. And anything built on purpose endures.
Daily Habits Compound
We are what we repeatedly do. Legacy-building isn’t a single act — it’s a daily rhythm.
That’s why 3GEN focuses on daily legacy habits. Because when we practice legacy every day — in how we speak, lead, forgive, teach, and serve — it stops feeling like work. It becomes automatic.
We build a legacy without even realizing it — one day, one decision at a time. All we need is a nudge and a little organization. That’s why we built 3GEN.
Inter-generational Thinking is Needed Now More Than Ever
The world doesn’t need more men chasing comfort, power, money, or sex. It needs more men building legacies and thinking inter-generationally.
We can’t control how long we’ll live. But we can control how far our impact reaches.
We believe Legacy-Building does not happen on accident. It begins with systems: applying strategic planning, strategies, tools, and, most importantly, daily habits.
We think inter-generationally. We build intentionally.
This is the 3GEN Project — tools to build your legacy.
